Breast Cancer Fundraiser 2023
We are proudly supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month this year. Throughout this month, the Garden Hotel and Restaurant hosts donation programs.
Our staff wore pink on Friday, October 13th, to raise awareness, also had a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in Hagley Park yesterday at 6 pm, where, of course, everyone was dressed in pink. All proceeds from these initiatives will go to the charity.
Our in-house chefs have prepared a delectable array of pink desserts to mark this special month. Join us in supporting our community
Blue September Fundraiser 2022
We are supporting Blue September (Prostate Cancer) this year and proud to announce that we raised $603 for blue September. All of our staff wore BLUE for a week from the 12th-18th of September to raise awareness.
We also had an International Staff Pot Luck Lunch on Tuesday the 13th of September. Each employee made and brought a dish representing their native home country. We all tried each dish, then voted by using a gold coin for the best dish. Proceeds went to the charity as well.
Gumboot Friday Fundraiser 2021
We are very happy and proud to announce that The Garden Restaurant Buffet will be donating 10 cents for every full price paying diner for the whole month of October 2021.
We also have a gumboot available for any other donations, which we gratefully appreciate.

Kiwi Family Trust 2021
As a family friendly hotel, we are proud to be in partnership with Kiwi Family Trust in 2021. A Christchurch based non-profit organisation that support and empower Youth community with physical, financial, emotional and intellectual limitation.
As a family oriented business, we want to help Youth build a great foundation to launch them into adult life. We help support Youth Camp and nurture them to provide career directions for the future.
Ronald McDonald 2021
Every year, RMHC New Zealand offers free accommodation and support to thousands of families with a child in a hospital away from home. This helps to relieve stresses like paying for a place to sleep near the hospital, organising family meals. Garden Hotel & Restaurant provides the much needed food for our whanau.
